Fractional laser rejuvenation is an effective procedure for correcting stretch marks, scars, wrinkles, and other skin imperfections. Laser resurfacing smooths scar tissue and lightens its appearance. The laser beam precisely targets affected tissue, breaking it down while stimulating healthy skin cells to regenerate, triggering collagen and elastin production. As a result, the skin’s surface becomes smoother, and its overall quality improves.
In our clinic, the procedure is performed using one of two non-ablative fractional lasers:
Both devices are minimally invasive compared to traditional ablative CO2 lasers, require minimal recovery time, and are well tolerated.
How does fractional laser rejuvenation work?
The primary chromophore for laser radiation is water contained in the skin, which enables heating in the deeper layers while leaving the epidermis, which contains minimal water, largely unaffected. The laser beam creates microthermal zones within the skin, surrounded by a photobiomodulation area with enhanced regenerative potential.
As a result, the skin renews, tightens, and fine and deep wrinkles are reduced.
The procedure can be performed on areas with thin, sensitive skin, such as the eyelids, neck, décolleté, and the backs of hands.
A full course consists of approximately three sessions, individually selected by the doctor during a consultation. The effects of fractional laser rejuvenation can last up to two years.
Indications for fractional laser rejuvenation
- Age-related changes (wrinkles, reduced skin elasticity)
- Skin lifting
- Stretch mark correction
- Treatment of pigmentation disorders (sun and age spots, melasma)
- Reduction of enlarged pores
- Treatment of post-acne and other atrophic scars
- Smoothing of post-surgical scars
How is the procedure performed?
No special preparation is required. The procedure takes between 15 and 60 minutes, with recovery lasting about four hours. The effects are noticeable almost immediately.
After the procedure, the treated area is cooled to reduce redness and burning sensations, and a moisturizing cream is applied. Hydration is recommended several times a day.
During the treatment course and for two months after completion, direct sun exposure should be avoided, and sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 should be used.
It is not recommended to use scrubs, peels, exfoliating products, or skincare containing acids and retinol during the treatment period.
